New System Office style guide
The Office of Public Affairs recently created an updated style guide to help System Office ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æs with their written communications and publications. The guide provides suggested language for referring to the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ system, the System Office and for talking about the three universities within the university system. Some common questions, such as when to capitalize ‘system’, when to use colleges vs. campuses, and how to write titles according to AP Style are explained.
In addition, the guide provides updated logo usage standards, font and color selections and provides examples of commonly used templates for everything from business cards to PowerPoints. It also includes a brief overview of university locations across the state and an abbreviated style guide for commonly used terms.
There are a few items that are yet to be added to the guide, including the System Office mission statement and a system land recognition. Your feedback is welcome as we further refine the guide into a valuable resource for ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æs. Please send any suggestions, or address any questions about the guide, to Monique Musick in the Office of Public Affairs.
