ConocoPhillips, BP Contribute Nearly $4 Million to UA Foundation

ConocoPhillips ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Inc., and BP Exploration (ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ) Inc., have presented the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Foundation with checks totaling $3,876,500, the third annual contribution under the terms of the companies' charter agreement with the State of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ.
Kevin Meyers, president of ConocoPhillips ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, Inc., and Chris Phillips, vice president, Operations Integrity, for BP in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, made the presentation to UA Foundation Trustee Jeff Cook at a reception at the home of University President Mark Hamilton. ConocoPhillips contributed $2,250,000 and BP contributed $1,626,500.
The latest contributions bring to $10,444,228 the amount contributed to the UA Foundation over the last three years by the two companies.
The charter agreement specifies that 30 percent of the money BP and ConocoPhillips set aside each year for community giving will go to the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Foundation for use by the university.
