Elvira Dyangani Ose (1974)

She is the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA), former director of The Showroom, London, and professor in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dyangani Ose is a member of the Thought Council of the Fondazione Prada and of the advisory council of Tate Modern. She was curator of Basel, a project commissioned by Art Basel as curator of Creative Time, Collective Intimacy together with Theaster Gates, Social Studies by Carrie Mae Weems and Horse Takes King by Laura Lima, which was part of her project Slight Agitation at the Fondazione Prada, where in 2015 he curated exhibitions by Theaster Gates, Nástio Mosquito, and Betye Saar among others. She was curator of the eighth edition of the Gothenburg International Biennial of Contemporary Art (GIBCA 2015) and curator of international art at Tate Modern (2011 – 2014) where she organized the celebrated retrospective of the Sudanese master Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist .

Recientemente, fue la curadora de la octava edición de la Bienal Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de Goteburgo (GIBCA 2015), y curadora de Arte Internacional en el museo Tate Modern (2011 – 2014). Previamente, Dyangani Ose fue curadora en el Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno y en el Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, directora artística del Rencontres Picha, en la Bienal Lubumbashi (2013) y curadora invitada del SUD trianual, el Salón Urbano de Douala (2010). Sus proyectos curatoriales más prominentes son: A Story Within A Story… (2015), Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist (2013), Across the Board (2012–2014), Carrie Mae Weems: Social Studies (2010), Arte Invisible (2009, 2010) y Olvida Quien Soy/Erase Me From Who I Am (2006).
