Scott Jepsen, vice chair of the board, was appointed in March 2021 by Governor Mike Dunleavy, and reappointed in February 2023 by Governor Mike Dunleavy. Regent Jepsen has a B.S. and M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Regent Jepsen is retired from ConocoPhillips ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, where he was Vice President of External Affairs and Transportation. He has nearly 41 years in the oil and gas business with 31 years in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ. His experience has included management of oil and gas operations in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ and the Lower 48, the Kenai LNG plant, pipelines, state and federal government affairs, media and advertising, stakeholder relations, and philanthropy.

Regent Jepsen has served on a number of boards, including Commonwealth North, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Public Media, the Resource Development Council, the Petroleum of Club of Anchorage, and the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Foundation.

Scott Jepsen and Amber Babcock live in Anchorage, where their son, Trevor, a University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks graduate, also works and lives.
