Gov. Mike Dunleavy names two appointments to the UA Board of Regents

Last week, Gov. Mike Dunleavy announced two appointments to the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Board of Regents. The appointees are Regent Dale Anderson, who has been re-appointed to an 8-year term, and new Regent Ralph Seekins, a well-known Fairbanks business owner, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ business leader of the year [1990] and former state senator.

Regent Anderson is well versed in the board’s commitment to equity and diversity, and its strategic goals – developing a skilled workforce, contributing to the state’s economic development, growing our world-class research, increasing degree completions and operating more cost effectively.

Regent Seekins has previously served on many important governing boards throughout the state, including the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Permanent Fund Corporation.

Both Regents Anderson and Seekins will join the board for its February committee meetings and the next full Board of Regents meeting Feb. 25-26.
