The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ community is saddened to learn of the recent death of well-loved University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fairbanks English department faculty emeritus, Frank Soos.

Frank was a former professor of creative writing who began teaching at ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ in 1986. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, he was himself an accomplished writer. He won national awards and was the 2015 ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ State Laureate Writer.
