July 26, 2024
Earlier this month, ANSI leadership convened in Anchorage to review their FY24 goals and set their sights on the future. The key action was to identify opportunities that would be pivotal to continue addressing collectively as well as gain momentum on individual successes. The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ System, guided by the Board of Regents, is committed to improving the participation and success of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Natives through educational achievement statewide, and improving ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Native staff and faculty representation and success throughout the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ system.
The leadership team of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Native Success Initiative includes Senior Director Kristel Komakhuk, Advisor Memry Dahl, and a committed lead from each university to identify opportunities and implement change. The Action Team leads are Michele Yatchmeneff for UAA, Jessica Black for ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, and Ronalda Cadiente Brown for UAS. These universities pledge to an annual action plan and aim for collaboration within their respective regions.
