    The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ has taken steps toward reducing administrative overhead, and is engaged in a review process to evaluate options for the future structure of the UA system. Work will occur during r the months ahead to make the university more efficient in delivering academic programs and services to students. Exactly what that change looks like is still a work in progress.

    At the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, we value using new, innovative tools that enable each and every one of us to work better together. This is why the Office of Human Resources is excited to launch Spoke, a simpler, smarter way to manage human resources requests. Spoke is an additional way for university ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æs to contact human resources. With Spoke, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æs can easily access answers to HR questions and request assistance with HR services.

  • Introducing UA's New Wellness Program for FY20

    University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ's new wellness program is here! You'll find a lot of things that look the same, and some things are a little different. You can now connect your Apple or Google (Android) device for activity tracking through the health kit on those devices. You still need to take a health risk assessment and have a biometric screening but now we call those "point" activities instead of credits. This means you need 7 points instead of 5 on the old plan, but it's all the same activities. And for those who like to collect points, we're offering a special raffle later on for those who earn up to 12 points!

It is essential that we are armed with self-awareness and personal strategies to maintain positive emotional wellness and optimal mental health.

  • Celebrate College Savings Month by investing in future education

    When I worked for Denali State Bank, I was inspired by a conversation with a coworker who paid for her entire college education with a UA College Savings Plan account. She told me that when she was growing up, she envied her friends who spent their Permanent Fund Dividend and cash gifts from family and friends. Her parents insisted that 90 percent of that money be invested in her 529 College Savings Plan account.
