How to start and schedule a meeting in Zoom

The Gmail add-on allows you to start an instant meeting or schedule a meeting with your email participants in Gmail. The add-on will automatically send an email invitation to everyone on the email thread and can also send a meeting summary after the meeting is completed. Once the add-on is enabled for your account, it will appear on your desktop browser.

No phone billing rate increase for FY20

The annual phone billing will post to Banner in August. There are no rate increases for FY20, but OIT did negotiate a new flat-rate long-distance plan for UAA, ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ and UAS. The new plan will reduce long-distance costs by approximately 50 percent and eliminates the need for tracking monthly long-distance charges for each department - a savings in time and effort for university staff.

The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ offers free access to Office 365. Office 365 includes Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, etc. Visit portal.office.com and log in with your @alaska.edu account and University password to claim your account.

A nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) is slated for 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7. The one-minute message will only be broadcast on radio and television.

Zoom vulnerability for Mac users
